FIDLEG
The Financial Services Act (FIDLEG) has regulated the provision of financial services in Switzerland since 2020. Its aim is to protect investors and create comparable conditions for financial service providers. The law requires institutions to segment their clients into private and qualified investors (professional and institutional clients) and defines conduct of business rules as well as transparency requirements. This includes the issuance of key information documents. In addition, the law standardizes liability and access to ombudsman services.
