Can I deduct the wealth management fees from my taxes?
As a general rule, you can claim custody fees and fees for preparing the tax register on your tax return. At True Wealth, the latter is free of charge.
True Wealth's wealth management fee covers custody, transaction costs, and fees for deposits and withdrawals. However, these are generally not tax-deductible. Therefore, not the entirety of True Wealth's wealth management fee can be deducted for tax purposes.
However, in many cantons, you can claim a flat-rate deduction of between 1 and 3 per mille of the assets under management. Certain upper limits have been set for this.
The cantons that grant a flat-rate deduction are: Aargau, Geneva, Glarus, Grisons, Lucerne, Neuchâtel, Nidwalden, Obwalden, Schaffhausen, Schwyz, Solothurn, St Gallen, Ticino, Thurgau, Uri, Vaud, Valais, Zug and Zurich. All information is provided without guarantee. Please refer to the official tax return guidelines for your canton of residence to find out how you can benefit from the lump-sum deduction.
