Custody fee

A custody fee is a commission that an investor must pay to a bank or financial service provider for the safe storage and management of their securities. These fees cover the general costs of the securities account, with individual stock market transactions usually incurring additional costs, i.e., they are billed separately. Many financial institutions also charge a fee for account management.

Custody fees can be calculated as a fixed amount or as a percentage of the assets under management.

At True Wealth, clients are not charged custody fees, as these are included in the flat-rate management fee. In this blog post, we discuss custody fees and all other costs that may arise in connection with stock exchange trading.

These fees apply when investing in Switzerland
