What happens to my investment account if I die?
In the event of death, the assets become part of the estate. The securities held in the account will be sold, and the proceeds will be paid out in CHF to the legal heirs after the certificate of inheritance has been issued. A direct transfer of the portfolio without a prior sale and purchase is not possible.
We also recommend that you designate a contact person in the user settings of your client account whom we may contact if, for any reason, we are no longer able to reach you.
